Im a college freshman on full scholarship to a college close to home. I'm not going to have enough credits to be eligible for track. I hate going to class/being in school. I don't study like I need to. (I should be studying right now, but I'm on letsrun) All I like is the team. I'm most likely going to lose my scholarship when found out that I'm not going to be eligible. What would you do in my situation, assuming that I'm definately going to lose the scholarship?

how could your academic advisor allow you to sign up for too few credits? or is it that you're not passing?
its pretty hard to fail out of college as a scholarship athlete. find tutors and get your grades up. I doubt your coach wants you gone if you're good enough for money. maybe you redshirt the year and come back next year on partial scholarship.
you're getting a free ride to school. take advantage of it.

Yea, I signed up for almost the bare minimum amount of hours. Now I'm failing a class, so I'm screwed. It's late in the semester and I'd have to ace 2 exams and a paper to just get a D. I think your suggestion about redshirting track (or just not being on the team at all) is what will happen. But I'm going to have to get a loan to pay for this coming up semester, which sucks.

No extension classes? When I was in school I was bailed out a couple of times by taking a few 1-2 credit classes late in the year.
