Not sure how I feel about this past week. It was a mixed bag. Monday's workout was great. I felt really fresh and fast. I had no problem with 5:00 pace. It felt really relaxed. Then Wednesday's workout was kind of so-so. It was really just a bunch of fast strides, so I didn't really have any feedback on what I was doing other than how I felt. Friday's workout was a disaster. Last week I held 5:18 pace for 8 miles. This week I couldn't come anywhere close to that. I just felt beat up. I probably should have waited another day before doing the workout. It was one of those days where you just don't have it. So that was frustrating. Then Saturday's long run felt pretty rough too. I think that the training is really adding up and all just hit me at the end of this week. Add in the fact that the weather was just oppressive this week, and it was a recipe for disaster. I'm going to back off just a bit on the workouts in order to get my legs back under me. I'm not sure my body can handle three workouts a week. I think I'll just try to run two high quality workouts instead.
Anyway, hopefully everyone's training will go well this week. There was some solid training this past week. Pablo, nice 10k, and impressive mileage once again. Keep it up guys.
