Ive been running for about 10 years now, and i feel as i get older and take it more serious, running is getting harder and harder. I do drink alcohol a good amount (1 drink a night with taking 3-4 one night per week) and feel i eat pretty well. I do work a lot and have ridiculous stress from it. During the week i do most of my running in the morning, but when i try to capitalize on a big run on saturday, i find myself so fatigued. I cant get out of this rut of 3-4 miles. I have entered a few races here and there, and can seem to run 5 and 10ks fine and feeling great. When i try to run my race distances and times, i just feel whooped and almost cannot complete without stopping.
any advice? am i just getting bored?
