Goal Race: Twin Cities (10/3)
Goal Time: sub 2:30
For those that noticed, I did change my goal time to sub-2:30. That doesn't mean I'm changing anything in my training, just wanted give myself a different mindset.
I had another solid week, felt much better than last week. I'm still finding it very difficult to get much quality in right now, but that's really nothing new...Florida summers aren't getting better anytime soon. All I can do is run by effort and hope everything comes together when I need it. A side note, I've transitioned to doing my main run in the mornings...it's far more humid but gives me peace of mind the rest of the day knowing it's out of the way.

Some notes from last week that I missed...
greg - Boilermaker sounds like an absolute blast...one of many races on my "to do" list. Sorry to hear you're hanging up the marathon shoes. You make a good argument though...we're all past the stage of "running by obligation", basically it all boils down to: if you want to continue, do it, if not...why do you continue? The answer is easy, do what you enjoy. If you enjoy running (and training for) half marathons more than the marathon, there's certainly nothing wrong with that. I hope you at least continue to lurk around here, maybe chiming in every now and then. Best of luck to you and your future endeavors!
VF Runner - Wow, a 24-hour race! Was that this weekend or next? Give us the report if it was this weekend!
Happy summer running LR marathoners!
