Well I am more optimistic about my chances now (half way through college) than I was in high school. I would've said I had no chance back then. Today, I'd say a really, really outside chance but I can actually see it happening if the stars aligned.
Not that I actually ever believed it that I would be in the Olympics, but the fact that it would NEVER happen probably hit me my Jr yr of HS. I realized I couldn't win a state title, there was no way I'd ever even make the trials.
