toledo may gave been 7th but they were definitley competitive for top 3, no other team put 3 guys on the all-mac team, there 5th runner just killed them if not they would have been top 2 and there 5th man normally is a freshman in jacob barnes.

Toledo women have a great chance to upset Michigan for the second automatic bid in two weeks. Go Rockets!
That would be great for a MAC school to make the Nationals!!!
Agreed! Gotta get the MAC a little more respect!
a little more respect... lets give the MAC A TON MORE RESPECT.

When their AD gives them a men's track team, and they can therefore recruit, because most hs runners in oh will more likely go to either a big school (Ohio State), another MAC school (Kent, Akron), or a D3 school that has a track team, because well, nobody wants to go to a D1 school to race 1 season...
Exactly. Without track and having a bad campus its really hard to improve the mens team.
But shouldn't they at least be competitive with Toledo and Ohio? They also no longer have track. Ohio ran great and Toledo did also. Ohio at least still has a few guys left over (like Ridge) that went to OU when they had track. But Toledo dropped track about seven years ago. There is no doubt it is harder to recruit without track but that is ni excuse for being as bad as they are. What about their women? What's their excuse?
Agree BG has no excuse for the men and women's teams being so terrible.... I wonder what the coach is thinking... no coaching whatsoever goin on in my opinion.
I will say that the Bg's men do tend to run fast in the beginning of the year. Jason and Chris Moody ran low 25's? in the beginning of the year. Showed some promise of what they could run with a good taper. It probably just turned out that they peaked for the first meet of the year. The Coach does a decent job with the women. But maybe BG should look into get an actual Men's Distance Coach.
When did bg have 2 guys low 25's? If so it was a short course prolly there home course.
according to there results there 2 best guys ran there pr's of 25:21 and 25:28 at the mel brodt meet which is known to be a short course other then that they were high 25's low 26. There team is just embarressingly bad on the guys and girls. How in the world does the coach there still have a job there after producing bad season after bad season.
