She ran inside lane 1 for about 25 meters on the 2nd turn of lap 1. Should have been DQ'd. She is a cheater.

Hmmm. What about becoming the first HS girl to run a sub-4:30 mile? 2:00.6 would indicate that's not a laughable proposition.

Maybe because that running start is MAYBE a half-second advantage, especially in the traffic she was in.

rofl, more like a 4 second advantage, she gets a running start and rides inside on lane 1 the entire go. then she gets people dying to pick off one after another.

I was researching Ajee Wilson's 2:00+ relay leg from early in her HS career and came across this thread. She never did break Kim Gallagher's HSR, but obviously her prep career panned out with World Youth and World Junior titles and, of course, now she's the AR-holder and has a great chance to medal in London. A relatively rare example of young HS talent making it all the way to pro greatness.

Not just that she made it, but she's been a big success without NCAA level competition. Steady progress to the very top for half a decade.

She was good but not that good. Unfortunately, in order to keep up with the she males and other top women, she had to resort to consuming "tainted beef"

Actually, her early (teen) success shows how much Ajee had plateaued before 2017 and her new regimen. Close to 2% improvement over a previous PR for anyone, teen phenom or not, is massive and unbelievable progress.

Never thought she would have doped. Just like Marion Jones, girl was fast enough to be world's best but just got greedy.
