kastor crying i 2.36
what is his expected finish time?
Deena Kaster finishes in 2.36.
Can we finally say Deena Kastor is done? All she talks about is going to London because she likes to be in a race that hammers from the get go.
Today? Nowhere in sight.
It only takes one of us to spoil the party :)

Oh, you're welcome to some ACLS. Lets drink to the little Ethiopian who's displayed truly superhuman running. You think he might threaten the WR?
Maybe not today. but that guy is scary. He is a small tough guy. I wonder how tall he is? And he takes really small steps from what I remember.
Forgive me I just got up and have only looked over the last 3 pages...have the men finished?
tsegaye is less than 5'2 i am sure. he is tiny
Mile to go.
Mutai just blew by Kirui
Mutai is hammering!
1.58.41 40km
Kirui's fading badly. He's now been overtaken by Mutai.

Now I realize why everybody thinks Peking was probably the best marathon of all time -- WE GOT TO ACTULLAY WATCH THE BLOODY RACE
Mutai should've started his kick earlier. Maybe he'd have made a contest out of this.
wow, Mutai comes quite close (but no threat, methinks)

They should start the women with the men and then end coverage when the women's podium is filled.
I love that Mr. Kebede. A trully humble man. He worked hard for this race. And he deserves the win. If he keeps healthy, he should win at least the next three consecutive London marathon races. He has a perfect strategy for running a marathon: Hung for 30km and then run the remainder at under 29min 10km pace. Apart from him, I don't there is anyone who can do that right now. Congratulations bwana Kebede!!!
