Apologies if a thread has been made already. I think the weather (heavy rain showers) will be a big factor. Do the men start at 1:45am Pacific time?
I call Wanjiru for the win, but "only" in 2:05:45.

Hey Skuj - aren't you a bit old to be staying up past 10? How you gonna last 'til the winners cross the line at 3:51am?
Hahahaha....Gordo? I'm younger than you!!! So, 2:06 eh?
Just woken up. Time to shave and shower and sh*t and in four hours: to run!
PS, Gordo (?), I now have a 2yr old and a 17 day old!!! (I'll be up.)
There aren't any kenyan women.
Congrats Skuj! Though I imagine this puts a crimp in training.
My usual approach for these over-night races is to get up at a civilized time, and then over a good cup of java (a) avoid any headlines that tell me who won in what time, and (b) head for the 'live updates', so I can scroll through and see how the race unfolded as if it were happening at this civilized hour (sorta how NBC shows all of its sports 'coverage')...
I wish Rita Jeptoo is running. Any splits for the women's race?
I hope Mikitenko loses. She's a shitty half marathoner. She doesn't have the sub 1:08 half marathon speed compare with Atsede Habtamu , Aselefech Mergia Dire Tune, Mare Dibaba.
my. upset picks
men
1. gharib, the worlds most underrated marathoner
2. emmanual mutai
3. abel kirui
4. kebede
5. tadesse
women
1. bezunesh bekele, my favorite runner.
2. liliya shobukhova
3. yamuachi
4. berhane adere
5. akaba
Mikitenko sucks. She runs so slowly and can't shake off anybody at chicago. Hope she finish last.
It actually feels really nice running weather right now. Fingers crossed the showers hold off until afternoon.
Just been out for for a walk to help digest breakfast. It feels pretty cool, with no wind. The sky is mostly clearing, so it could get warm later.
I think Wanjiru will take. Tadese and Kebede are a threat to his title.
Here's splits from the race, plus comments, updated fairly regularly.

If that was the 10k mark, then 33:04 is 2:19:31 pace.
