Brojos say it is a fair question: Is Ritz on drugs?

in horse racing blood lines are incredibly important. breed a thoroughbred to a short horse and repeat 10 times in future generations and you'll get lovable but slow horses every time.

strip away what the media and social leaders have told us to say and think. isn't this cross-bred horse line exactly what most Americans are like?

i think this genetic component of athletes (and others) is fantastically important and largely ignored by humans for socio-political reasons. a "pure-bred" moroccan or Kenyan or Ethiopian; conceived, birthed, raised, fed, nurtured in the appropriately suited environment... why wouldn't this produce super-ior athletes to cross-breeding?

i'm not saying it's all genetic. It's clearly not.

I have another thing to say. capitalistic culture and competitive distance running go hand-in-hand if runners make money. In America very few runners make money. why, oh why, would we have the world's best runners?

capitalism and capitalistic thinking also go hand in hand with cheating. why do we expect that our runners be clean? politics are all about money and power games and cheating under the table. so is big business. so is wall street. so is practically everything else! we praise whatever's great at the moment and ignore the ugly process.

why, why, why, would we expect our runners not to cheat?

that being said, it is fun to try to find the non-cheaters and those who are great without being obsessed with the outcome.

Are you 5 years old ? Judging my your belief that prednisone constitutes a anabolic androgenic steroid, I hope that you still haven't graduated from kindergarten. Have you ever seen somebody on prednisone ? They gain massive amounts of water and fat gain in their abdomen, and lose considerable muscle mass. Even worse, they get the classic 'moon face' which makes them look like the michelin man.Prednisone isn't a fu cking gray area nor is it an anabolic androgenic precursor you idiot and ain't going too account that amount in performance benefit that Ritz and others have achieved ! Andro is a completely different animal, it is considered an AAS.You think Mark McGuire hit all them home runs from Prednisone and not from Andro and other AAS as well as peptide hormones ?

since other pro-hormones like andro are illegal I would think that prednisone would be too. as a steroid precursor I don't see how it could be in the gray area.

I think you will find suspicion of Salazar's group and the big up swing in US running is rampant outside the US.

Not to mention three girls breaking 4:00 in one fvckin year.

Fans of running are way behind the times. Catching drug cheats is hard, and I believe only Cycling takes it serious (and it's rampant there still).

Fact is that by time the race comes around, the athletes are clean. EPO benefits last for weeks, and is basically untraceable within a couple hours of using it. In a one day race, or weekend event even, there is no need to risk taking more.

I like to point out the 2005 Tour de France. Of the top 10, 6 were eventually busted for doping (Basso, Ullrich, Vinokourov, Rasmussen, Mancebo, Landis). The winner is all but busted (Armstrong).

Which means he was a doper, and do you think that was the "first time" he ever did such a thing? None of the other guys were busted during the race either. Most were incredibly unlucky that a doctor in Spain got busted with bags of their blood frozen!
