Im thinking about getting a pair of these for some road races 5k to 10k. Anybody have feedback on these?

good shoe. i liked the old version better but still does the trick of getting you up on the balls of your feet moreso than 'soft' flats
Can't say enough good things about them. I use them for all my workouts, road races, the occasional XC course if there's a lot of pavement or gravel.
Very durable, very light, good traction, even height between heel and forefoot.
I love them, but disagree on the "durable" comment. I stick on the outside of my midfoot, and I wear those little dots of rubber off pretty quickly. The good news is that they are still very run-able after that.
I've worn them in everything from a road mile to the marathon. I recovered well from that marathon too.
Thanks guys. I think I'll get a pair.
Does the Nike Katana Rac3r III fit more like the Zoom Marathoner or the Skylon 11? I wear size 11 in the Skylon, and 11.5 in the Marathoner. Thanks.
not sure. I wear 10.5 in pretty much every other shoe and a 10 in Katana Rac3r IIIs. Running Warehouse's website said you should order a half size bigger, but I wish I would've ordered a half size smaller.
Thanks. I also wear a size 11 Pegasus. Anyone else able to compare sizing? I saw the Katana's onsale at Running Warehouse, so won't be able to try them on.
I would maintain my durable comment on the grounds of the comment you made... even after the carbon rubber dots rub off, they are still very run-able.

Good point, I should mention that I Shoe-Goo all my shoes so outsole wear is not really an issue for me. What wears most for me is usually the sides -- I rip them out.
So if you want these things to last a long while, Shoe Goo them.
i wear a half size down from a normal nike shoe. i have worn the skylon, hayward, streak xc and all are 1/2 size bigger than i wear in the katana.
