I have a two year old and we are expecting another baby in May. Right now, we have a Bob Revolution that serves as both our everyday stroller and my running stroller, and I am happy with it. We need to replace that with some sort of dualie. My criteria are:
- Can fit through a standard doorway.
- Good for both running (currently <5% of use) and daily use. I went through a phase where I was running with my daughter during the early morning hours a few days a week, until she started to sleep past 6AM. I put low odds on having to run with both kids at the same time, but who knows what sleep and work schedules will dictate.
- Easy for my petite wife to fold and put in the trunk.
- Infant seat compatible, preferably with the Graco Snugride travel system. Without that, most strollers have infants facing away from you, which I don't like.
- High quality - I want this to be the last big stroller purchase I make.
Candidates:
- Bob Revolution - good all purpose stroller; not necessarily great for running b/c of the 12" front wheel but good enough
- Bob Ironman - the locked front wheel seems like it would be a pain for daily use (we live in a city and walk a lot)
- Phil and Ted's Classic or Sport - is there a big difference between these two? The inline design is interesting, but the reviews are mixed (people cite lack of padding, tire punctures, and lack of storage as problems) and I have some concerns. For those that have one of these strollers, do the kids fight about who sits where? Next, I doubt this will work for running except in a pinch -- is that true? Finally, I don't know about the infant+toddler configuration -- are you supposed to recline the infant and put the toddler on top?
- Others?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
