Why the haters?
Why the haters?
Sad to see Chris go, but I think it was a good decision.
He was a stud in HS and I remember his dominance on the track and good battles with Fayant at Sun Willows.
All the best and congrats on a great and successful running career!
quite simple really....Chris was very successful and people liked him.....apparently, ColoBreem & ByeBye were not successful and people don't like them. therefore, they hate the player who has what they don't....also might help if they each took their respective sticks out of their @$$es....dude-

I hope him being away from Track & Field makes him a better person because he has a lot of growing up to do!
What did he do? I wanna know.
thanks
Is he retiring or did he get cut from his sponsors. Isn't there a difference?
His sponser got cut after US Nationals.

There is a difference and this is a good point. Really, when you're a runner of Chris's level and his age, you don't retire you just stop being willing/able to put in the training necessary to compete.
NOOOOOO!
too bad. I mean, he'd probably never be a big time player on the world scene, but 3:33 is pretty damn fast. He ran 1:46 in college too, right? He probably would have been doomed to a career full of 4ths and 5ths at USAs... I guess that just wouldn't cut it?
I'll miss seeing Chris on my tv, but if it's really what he wants, I'm happy for him I guess.
Chris please come out of retirement and 'just have fun and relax.'
He wouldn't have been doomed to that if he had taken his head out of his ass and performed to the standard he's shown to be capable of.
chris ran what he ran. (you dummies ran what you ran too). he always gave it his best shot. did any one of you sorry-ass poser-posters ever out run him???? i thought so. then just have some nads, respect the reality, and wish the man well. chris, all the best to you brother, and thanks!!!
Who the f*** is Chris?
I'll always remember the 2-mile at the state meet when he was a junior. He ran 8:57 and placed second to Michael Kiter who ran 8:55. One heck of a race.
Sorry to see him throw in the towel.
I give him respect. 25 is a good age to hang em up. Thanks for doing Washinton proud, CL.
great runner - sorry to see him go but he's had a great career.
Gosh... thanks for the entertainment Chris. You are such a talent. I admire your ability to drop running to pursue something else. You were an incredible runner.

Incredible runner that was a jerk.
Yes he ran 3:33 but he was a major DB!
i suspect that a former training partner of his will make a similar tweet in the months to follow.
