Personally, I think the US performance of the year should go to someone who won a gold medal at Worlds. Trey Hardee, Sanya Richards, Allison Felix, LaShawn Merritt, our women's or men's 4x400 teams (we got 10 golds - who else am I missing). All of these would be great candidates.
My criticism of your comment was not about whether or not Rowbury should be the US performer of the year selection. It was about you choosing to single out one athlete and belittling what she accomplished at Worlds. And then taking it one step further and commenting about her winning a medal for some marathon that she never contested.
I think if you took the time to ponder what you wrote, you would agree that it is:
a) Not necessary
b) Not becoming
c) Getting very old and boring!
If you do not agree after you ponder the above, then I think you are in dire need of some love, attention and therapy!
