I hope this post was ironic, given that the use of words such as "pedantry" is itself just a touch pedantic. So what are the important facts of the world. Enlighten us, the masses, oh enlightened one. Have mercy on us poor brainwashed souls and relieves of us of our reliance on the dull capitalist liturgy of the Economist.
By the way, I am not saying you do this or that the New Left Review or N+1 are guilty of this, as I am not familiar with those publications but will check them out despite your unbearably condescending, pretentious post, but reading material from only one end of the spectrum, say the "left," is just as bad as the ignorant disrupters of town hall meetings who were recently convinced the government wanted to kill grandma. The Economist is fairly centrist, though it does have a free-market bias. See the most recent issue for examples of its adaptability, though, in regard to major issues of fiscal stimuli, tax rates, etc. Or just flex your didactic diction some more.
