Click on this link and scroll to page 13 (of 36) for the U of O men's olympians and 26 for the women's (pages 174 and 187 of the Ducks' media guide).https://www.nmnathletics.com//pdf4/367827.pdf?ATCLID=3649576&SPID=243&DB_OEM_ID=500&SPSID=5637Is that all ? At UT we need an encyclopedia to list all of our Olympians and World Champs participants ;-)
I didn't see an encyclopedia, but I found this page:
http://www.texassports.com/trads/olympians.htmlOf your 21 Olympic T&F medalists (sorry that your SID didn't go into more detail), 9 were for countries other than the USA (Jamaica w/7 and Kenya and England with 1 each).
Just like Joaquim Cruz
UT has more medals than UO.
As of 2011, UO hasn't hasn't a medalled in 16 years in spite of Eunuch PK's welfare to that pinnochio-nosed wop Vin.
From Berlin, Trey, Sanya, Natasha brought home medals to UO. Nothing again from OR kids from Berlin, nor from Beijing.
What up, UO ?

Olympic Medalists: 1960 to present: Mac Wilkins won the Gold in 1976 and the Silver in 1984. Neil Steinhouaer was a world record holder in the shot (not sure of his Olympic medal status). Otis Davis won two Golds in 1960. Wade Bell won an Olympic Silver in 800 meters. Both Bill Dellinger and Harry Jerome won an Olympic Bronze in 1964. Joaquim Cruz won the Gold in 1984 and the Silver in 1988.
Wadw Bell never won an Olympic medal.
You are correct, though he was an Olympian, NCAA champion, PanAm Champion, American record holder, Wade Bell apparently didn't win a medal at the Olympics. However, Bill Dellinger won a Bronze at 5K at the 1964 Olympics.
When you start getting into this things, it is amazing how long and fabulous a history Oregon has had--and that history long precedes any support given by Phil Knight.

You posted: "From Berlin, Trey, Sanya, Natasha brought home medals to UO." I doubt that all these came from UO, as you say. Besides, Sanya Richards, doesn't count does she? She's from the Caribbean, isn't she?
The irony of the success of UofO athletes over the decades is that it seems sprinters and field event athletes have medaled more than middle and long distance runners. UofO had some celebrated distance runners that could mix it up with the best in the world, they just never quite made it to the medal stand. Dyrol Burleson finished 5th in the 64 olympics. Pre and Kenny Moore finished 4th in the 72 olympics. Jim Grelle, Jim Bailey, Romani, are some others who competed.
I would still like to know btw who was the last Oregon student to medal, if there were any. I guessed Harry Jerome. Is that right?
Haven't heard of any recent UO alums/athletes on the medal stand. Nike sure hypes UO though. Sorta stupid when you think about how Nike ignores schools that have carried the flag for America on the medal stand. Is there a stats link that ranks US T&F schools by Oly/WC medals. I would guess the order would be: USC, UCLA, UT, LSU, So Car, UArk, etc. with UO down around #10 there abouts.
