I understand the IAAF looks the other way when trying to promote third world countries, but this guy more than strains the credibility of all the governing bodies of athletics and henceforth athletics itself.

I just saw the race and while she does look like rather manly, I did not see a bulge in her pants, until I see a package she's a SHE to me. The thing that gives men their strength is testosterone which is produced by the testes, and obviously Semenya is lacking those, so I don't see how she has much of an advantage over the other women without a package.

DUDE LOOK LIKE A LADY!
Once again NOTHING THERE. If you call that a bulge, I hope yours is bigger than that, otherwise I'm sorry for you and the one you give love to.

maybe its a mangina.

Nobody is 100% anything. None of the other 800 participants are 100% female.
Its not a binary condition, even in circumstances of reproduction.
Ambiguous situations such as this make people very uncomfortable. Its a shame - she can't just be, "Caster", as she was back home. She now has to be, "Caster, the woman"..no wait...that's, "Caster the man"...no....
Very few people fit neatly into all the categories in which they are assigned. This is no different.

she should just relax ....take a shave...
In an article out this morning, her former school headmaster claims to be proud of Caster...but admits he didn't realize until grade 11 that Caster was supposedly a she.
Just make ALL athletics events open to males and females and give prize money by performance. So, for example Paula Radcliffe would earn the same prize money as any other male 2-15 marathoner. Then people like Semenya won't be so controversial and people can stop wining.

this solution doesn't pertain to championships where you are determining top males and females in various events....
sounds like a road racing or golden league idea at best.
So she is a he, but Mario Mutola is a woman? Mutola looked a lot more manly, folks. Caster should have worn her hair down with pink lipstick and nails like Mutola...and talked with a high pitched voice and pranced around like a girly girl...instead of acting like the bad ass s/he is.
HAHAHHAH...ridiculous.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a cookie-cutter solution to this whole thing. Sports are divided by 2 genders. Just 2, nothing else to accommodate the percentage of people whole straddle that line.
There is already a Special Olympics for special needs athletes and Paralympics for a wide range of physical disabilities. What should we do about young Caster? Do we need to start a Gender-Ambiguous Olympics so that people similarly "handicapped" could have an athletic venue to perform? I see all kinds of problems in that!
Frankly, if the tests back her genetics as being predominantly female (I'm going to catch flack for this, but I think she is), then she's legit, end of story.
Semenya could take 99% of guys here she should do womens rugby instead then she would look comparativly feminine.
Mutola does NOT look a lot more mainly. Not even close. That's simply nowhere near being true, and i think you know that.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
