Usain Bolt - 19.59 in the 200m!

The red flags against Bolt:

1) after several years competing at a high level at 200m,he suddenly drops his already great time by about a half a second (accounting for conditions) and absolutely humiliating athletes that he used to see in front of him at the finish.

2)Does the above at a point when Jamaican women suddenly also drop huge performances...women systematically dropping big sprint times are huge red flags.

3) Suddenly, virtually from no personal precedent, dominates/crushes an event where a WR is typical precursor to a doping positive (100m)

4) Competes for a country where the national federation has a large vested interest and capability in protecting their athletes, rather than weeding out the "bad elements". (Note that this is similar to the USA in the '80's/'90's)

Given the above, I am at least 60/40 on the likelihood of UB doping.

That said, watching him is still mesmerizing, as a long-time fan of the sport. There is no precedent for what he is doing, period.

Enough is enough!! Please realize that all gold medals are not for American athletes only, it's for those who work extremely hard.. Stop whinning because like millions of us, I am sick of American athletes who belittle non American athletes..

No, Jamaicans will not win every sprint title from here on out. However, We have been knocking on the door for years. Also, Our top sprinters over the years ran for, USA, CANADA, GREAT BRITAIN. Tyson Gay was an average sprinter in college. Could barely beat wallace spearman at Arkansas. Asafa spanked him the year before. All of sudden He is running 19.5's and 9.7's. You don't here Jamaican's saying he is taking drugs. Come on Americans You cannot win all the time. wi likkle, but we talawah.

I rather someone get some backgroung information before making allegations.A lot out there believe what they read or hear, while some want to believe negativity of others.

before opening your mouth at least look at the history of the best British black athletes and see how many are Jamaican or coming from Jamaican descendants, do the same for Cananda and even the US. Then you will see that your argument of Jamaica's size hold no water

on a side note....which white man will be the most likely to win a medal in a running event at this year's world champs?..besides Jeremy Wariner.

Tyson Gay was the top sprinter in the NCAA at the time of his graduation. Look at his progression:

Obviously, he stepped it up after finishing at Arkansas, and the change in performance can attributed to the well-known fact that the slipped disc in his back healed sufficiently. Up until then he had been extremely limited in working out very much at all with weights.

Furthermore, Jamaicans have even less of a reason to cry foul as the man has both lived in a country with an independent anti-doping association for the duration of his entire career (something those training in Jamaica can't say) and he volunteered for extra testing making it easier for testers to see if a foreign element is introduced into his system.

No one can fault the Jamaicans for not participating in programs that don't exist in their home country, but I think that this guy has covered his bases and has gone above and beyond what's required of him to demonstrate his legitimacy.

blah, blah, blah..how do you account for his running faster than Gatlin. If he's almost as fast as the supposed doper (Bolt) and faster than other dopers (gatlin, johnson), than he has to be a doper, right? You can't have it both ways.

How does he run faster than Gatlin? Because he's more talented than Gatlin.

Jenny Barringer ran faster her senior year of college than Regina Jacobs did during her whole career.What does that tell you? That there's some top secret doping program in Boulder that blows BALCO away? Or that Barringer is a more talented, better trained athlete than Jacobs ever was?

Drugs are not some magic bean that make you superior to everyone else. According to you, since I struggled to break four minutes, all those who do it so easily must be cheating. I could take EPO, steroids and HGH and I'd still get beaten at local road races. Some people are just more talented.
