No easing up, but the conditions were far from ideal. Bolt appears to be already in 19.4ish shape.

he definitely appears to be training up for The Cup this year!
that was insane. raining really hard! bolt made the likes of crawford and merritt appear standing still!

Can't wait until junior high classes start up again.
When they showed the off the turn view (panoramic) showing him blast off the turn I nearly pissed myself. Coolest thing I'd seen in T&F.
He had made up the stagger and passed Crawford by 80m in..ridiculous enough. But Merritt was 2nd in 20.41. Merritt has run sub 20 and 20.07 this year. That shows conditions sucked. And bolt still ran 19.59! My god, that was crazy!
universal sports does an outstanding job with their broadcast / live stream quality - i dunno if they get the same camera deals in all stadiums but i sure as hell hope so!
Watching this race made me think that sub-19 may not be impossible within the next year or so for Bolt. Gay may go 19.3, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a 19.1x from Bolt in Berlin..
what the hell?? fourth time in history into 0.9 headwind (I think) with driving rain and easing up a bit the last 5-10 meters with 22 y/o, this guy can not be human.. what is going to happen at berlin? that is absolutely crazy, the bad thing is some people are starting to get used to this when is completely ridiculous imho.
My video feed was too choppy.
It's official; everybody who's dreaming about Gay keeping up with Bolt...
CAN FORGET ABOUT THAT NOW!
Out of everyone's league....what a race...with sunny conditions and a +1.x m/s wind the WR would had gone!
The thing is, we still don't know how fast Gay really is this year. He ran one 100m race with a horrible start, and ran one 200m race.. that's it.
Yeah, Bolt will probably win, but I wouldn't be that surprised to see Gay stride for stride with him, at least in the 100.
Seriously, how can he be that much better then everyone else? maybe (only partly kidding here) he is the first gene doped athlete? If it was drugs, chances are others would be on the same stuff and be at least close. If it was natural ability, he would have been faster earlier (I know he was very fast as a junior, but not like this). If it was the coach, we would see more times in the 19.4s and 19.5s from his stable.
Just doesn't add up.

That's why the drugs question isn't that interesting because if you assume that Bolt is on drugs then you'd have to assume that most other elites are as well and so you're still left with the question of how and why he's so much better?
natural ability is a big part of it. in case you didn't know he is the world junior record holder at 200m! he ran 19.93 at 17 years old. how is that not indicative of extreme natural ability to you? here we are 5 years later with a better trained athlete, of course he is going to run fast. i don't think anyone expected the 100m times, but the 200m is not as surprising.
just curious here...
Bolt is way better than everybody so he therefore can not be on drugs.
Lance armstrong is way better that everybody else so he must be on drugs.
Does not add up...
He has a totally different fysique from alle the other sprinters we've seen so far. Obviously his nervous-system is capable of sending signals to the musles just as fast (or maybe even faster) than those of his competitors. That combined with a stride lenght we've never seen so far gives us a 19.59 in horrible conditions.
New type of sprinter, new era time-wise
let alone the fact that males tend to get stronger up to when they're 25-26....
I see a sub 19 coming (lol)
you're putting words in my mouth. please show me where in my post that i even mentioned drugs. his natural ability is through the roof as i stated. i think his 19.93 at 17yo is highly indicative of that.

Hey come on!
In Beijing they tested Bolt 32 times in 5 days. Think about it, 32 times!!!
So how can he be in drugs!!!
