I'll take a shot.
3 autos I see are:
Heat 1- Miller, McCarthy, Emanuel
Heat 2- Ulrey, McClary, Heath
Heat 3- Fernandez, Centrowitz, Gibney
3 others in: Hassan, Bolas, LBP -
can someone post a link for all event heats?
-
where did you get the heat sheets from? Thankyou

This guy is just getting healthy, he is a darkhorse to at least make the final if not score some points.
Imagine running 3:43 after 5 weeks of running and only one meet prior (pac-10's). Every day he's getting a lot more fit while a lot of others have already peaked or are trying to hold on.
7 stress fractures is pretty insane. He has a 3:41 pr from a few years ago and it sounds like he really hasn't had a track season since then. -
where are these heat sheets? Looked all over and cannot find them
-
Why are we not following the IAAF rules here? i.e. Rule 166.2
Should only be two heats and have first four and next four fastest -
What are the Vegas odds on a DQ for Wyner?

for once lets behave like the wrote:

Because this is not an IAAF-run or even IAAF-sanctioned meet. This is an NCAA meet. They will do as they please. Is that right or wrong? Who knows. But it is the reality. -
Wyner wins his heat and is DQ'ed before finals for going across the line on his hands while smoking a cigarette to celebrate

Another douchebag statement on Letsrun.
Wyner won't win his heat. He won't qualify for the final. He'll go out quietly, and people will forget that he ever made the meet.
There will be no bowing, or waving, or displays of poor sportsmanship. He'll get his ass handed to him, and slink off the track, down a dozen beers at the post-meet party, and talk how he "just didn't have it today."
And then he'll fade from our memories as just another kid with a load of talent - mentally and physically - but was last in line when they were handing out maturity. -
Lighten up, broseph.

your handle is appropriate for your personality.

There might be room for one more, as there is a rumor reported by Rojo that Centrowitz has a stress fracture.
Several of these guys have shown good finishing ability (e.g., Centro's finish in the 3:36, Miller/Bolas finishing Big Ten in ~1:50, Ulrey and Emanuel high placings, GF -- lots of evidence). I have not cited others because I am not fully informed but I am guessing that Poker knows something of the finishing ability of the others above. -
The field appears to be a lot faster than when Webb was a freshman.
Hopefully Coe will bring his 'A' game and Fernandez is healthy and ready. -
Autos:
Heat 1: Lee Emanuel, Abdi Hassan, Craig Miller
Heat 2: Dorian Ulrey, Jack Bolas, Garrett Heath
Heat 3: Centro, Fernandez, Coe
3 others: David MCcarthy, Andy McClary, Austin Abbott -
look out for matt gibney, runs very good tactical races and can close hard.

I hope there will be a video of the prelims.
