Unfortunately his comments indicate that he doesn't see the situation that way, at least not yet. He seems to be deferring responsibility away from him himself and is arguing that he's some sort of sacrificial lamb for this "alcohol related incident".

Powell delivered the news to Acosta on May 5, .....He said he didn't discuss the suspension with Lananna for a week..

It certainly looks like they pin AJ as the scape goat..Im sure they were all drinking and acting irrisponsible.. hey they won Pac 10's... by the way

Exactly, they phrased that way to fool dummies like Lake Thomas, who read everything literally. Looks like it worked as planned. Lake has not been to college, obviously since he A: Has poor reading comprehension. B: hasn't never seen the phrase "alcohol-related incident" used before. and C: Responds to people in all caps.

From my experience the people who take the fall are generally the ones who can afford do so. AJ wasn't even there when it happened and likely could have denied every being there if he wanted. That's how it worked when I was in college. AJ doesn't seemed to be too bothered by this, and rightly fully so as he's just doing his duties.

If Luke had a far worse punishment, how is he still competing?

Generally, if a student-athlete got something worse than in indefinite suspension, they wouldn't be allowed to compete at their conference meet...

Good try, but Luke is Catholic, so getting a Morman excommunication probably won't bother him too much.

Luke got shitfaced and fell and was taken by some soccer ladies to the hospital and they told their trainer and it spread like wildfire. Acosta already was warned once and he got nailed with kevin mcnally for not doing something.

No one knows what happened? Well I'm the Dad of one of those underage atletes at Oregon. This all sounds criminal to me, not to mention my son could die at any time because they are all drinking at these different locations. Right on site. So I'm getting an attorney cause I think the school and coaches should be held accountable for their knowledge and no action. Lets see where the law suit fits into play here! So A.J. feels he is a tough guy huh?
