When cutting back on mileage for a recovery week, which do you find more beneficial: reducing the number of runs (add a rest day) or reducing the length of some of the easy runs and long run?
I ask because it's lunchtime, when I normally run, but I'm just too tired to go out today. This happens to be a reduced mileage week and I was going to do that by cutting back the length of several of my daily runs and cutting a few miles off my long run this weekend. But instead I might just take the day off (having 2 off days this week) and keeping my other daily runs at the usual distance.
Thoughts?
