Because I injured my ankle, yesterday was my first day back to doing squats at the gym (around 200lb) in almost a month.
How long can I expect the soreness in my legs to continue if I keep squatting every other day?

I'm squatting 265 at 12 reps and when I take a month off I'm usually sore for three or maybe four days but not much more than that. I can usually take 10 days off without causing soreness after the next workout. I allow myself at least 2 days of recovery (1 more than every other day) if I'm doing a decent amount of effort. If I'm going to failure, I'll take at least 3 days off.
Soreness isn't bad. It just happens. Sort of a non thread here isn't it?
It is sort of a non thread. I went out for an easy 6 miles this morning, it was minus 1 Celsius but what bothered me was the pain in my legs. Got squats again today, hope it doesn't affect my run tomorrow too badly.
The soreness usually is gone by the third day.
If you are training for strength, consider doing heavy squats every third or fourth day. You'll progress and recover better and faster. Remember the two components of training are the workout and the recovery.
Thanx. I'm gonna lay off the squats for today and pick it up again on Thursday. Gonna alternate the dead lift and squats during my every-other-day workouts.
