Necessary bump
So...
Gregson has won the Australian Nationals Champs, run 2 Commonwealth A standards, 3.35 ( with a 53 sec last lap), and 1.46, beaten 3.32 man and recent Kiprop / Willis conqueror Risely.
Fernandez ran a good low 7.50 indoor 3km... but has been in stealth mode again since.
Points... WAY in Gregsons favour at this stage, what will Fernandez come back with?
I really hope Fernandez makes a comeback.
I'll be waiting in 2016
fernandez is the man dont care how fast he runs right now i know he'll run good eventually and hes a balla
SUCH an injustice Wheating go promoted to that Bowerman Mile ahead of Gregson, Bideau will be fuming. Gregson had run 3.35 with a 53secs last lap in Sydney, unbeaten at 1500 and Mile in 2010, he pegged Jeff Risely who was fresh from defeating Kiprop and Willis... is the major up and coming runner on the plannet, AND runs for Nike... yet still he was overlooked.
Wheating is good to be sure, but he had no right to be in that race.
I guess Wheating did all right for himself. Maybe Manzano should have been in the International Mile? By the way, Fernandez ran 3:55 solo indoors, winning by ten seconds, over a year ago. If he could stay healthy for a season or two, ...?

sure Wheating did just fine, but on his merits should not have got the start. Manzano had the credentials and deserved the start.
Re; Fernandez's 3.55.... that was good, Gregson has moved on.
always a good time to reflect on this debate as a way of highlighting how far German has slipped, German who has ostensibly been healthy for months is running 3.44's.. while Gregson who is weeks back into running after ~9months off, runs 2.48 1200m first race up, only just dipping out to Lagat
So... for those of you saying there is nothing wrong with Webb and Fernandez, and that they will be back, take on Gregsons example, real talent, world class ability does not just vanish UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES. German and Allan are undoubtedly world class, but something is going very wrong for them to be running so poorly by their standards.
Gregsons mile pr is 3 seconds better than Fernandez. Gregson has run 3:31 for 1500. And has PRed most recently by over a year. Yeah, fernandez is better...

Alan was world class, German was never world class.
