What are your favorite workouts for 10k training?
I'm going to do a couple 5k's in march and early april and 2 10k's in late april to try and hit a good time. What are some workouts you guys like for the 10k? Are there any good threads that discuss what workouts should be incorporated into a good 10k program?
I'm just recovering from a fall season and I'll ramp the mileage up over the winter and:
- Striders 2-3 times a week
- unscheduled tempo maybe once a week if I feel strong during a run.
- long run every saturday or sunday (progression)
- trying to avg 80sh miles a week for base phase
