Hey Otis -
I ran at a local high school nearby. I did not run at Whitworth but had some friends who did. Academically it is a very strong liberal arts school with good core programs, specifically its theology, religion programs. The school has a good repuation within Washington and the Northwest. I recollect the program being competitive on the DIII level. I remember they would always do respectable in meets. The campus itself is in a great location, on the north side of Spokane and within a mile of the Little Spokane River/Painted Rocks nature area. A lot of good trail running within that area. Runs in state/city parks are easily accessible by a short car ride as well. Most of this is anecdotal so take it for what it's worth. I have nothing but good impressions of the school/program. If you have specific questions regarding the program I'd get in direct touch with the coach.
