I wear the black champion briefs so there is no blood, urine or feces stains.
Back in the day, we wore jockstraps. The purpose? Well, ask the guy on my team who got bruised testicles running commando.
I've had two hernias. Both occurred while running. In those days, I used to wear the old saggy-type liners, which may have contributed to the hernias. It's not worth the risk. Just get a good wicking brief.
Today, if the liner isn't perfect, I just cut it out and wear my Asics or Champion briefs instead.
So far I like fisky's anwser best. Affordably getting the job done sounds good to me. Anyone else buy Champion's microfiber briefs? How are they for wearing while running.
I used to wear a jockstrap too, but I have no idea why. I think it was because everyone else was doing it. I owned one jockstrap and wore it all week. By Saturday race day it reeked like a dead fish.
Clean. Just in case you get hit by a car and have to go to the emergency room.
I hear(but have not tried) Champion's microfiber briefs are good for running. Any one else try these?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
