My dad used to never do any fluid changes. He had about 260k miles on his 86 Chevy Pickup & said he wouldn't change change it at that point because it might break something. I have a 2001 Ram with 134K... it never uses a drop of oil. I change the oil every 5,000 miles & that's it. For the life of the truck, I've had to fix one thing on it which cost about $100.
My ex girlfriend had a 2005 Corolla for about 2 yrs, forgot to check the oil.... motor burnt up.
