Does anyone have any training suggestions for the following situation? A distance runner's HS season has ended (on 5/24), but she is eligible to run the two-mile at a postseason meet four weeks later in June. She is motivated and would train on her own - if this would make sense. Is this too long a stretch for her to train on her own? If her team tapered for the end of HS season in May, can she still gear up again for June?
