it's women's and includes field events, but that girl "rookie" or ?"ruky" from Simon Fraser has to be up there with the greatest ever in the NAIA. She wins everything. What's her total medal count at?

There was a guy named Tommy Fulton, TX Sn U, in early 70's who ran 10k, 5k, 1500, and 800 in NAIA meet. Think he won three of them. Later ran on the pro circuit.

Very impressive it seems in all those races he had someone to really run with the whole way and was pushed. What makes Rono\'s wins so impressive is the lack of competition. The only race he was really \"challenged\" in was the 1500 but he pretty much opened a gap early and maintained it. I wouldn\'t put it passed him that he couldve ran 3:44 or better if he needed to. His 29:56 is equivilant to a 28:55 for 6 miles and his 14:23 is the only event that was far off Fulton\'s and it\'s also an undisputed fact that Rono has split 1:49-1:50 relay legs in the 4x8\'s and with 3:40 he could definately run sub-1:50 now whether he would be able to after running all the events he ran i dont know but to say \"No Way\" is ludicrous because if Tommy Fulton was capable than so should Rono considering they\'ve ran near identical PRs (as far as 1500/5k times)
or is it that NCAA rules are the joke - since they are the ones who changed their rules years ago so as not to allow these older foreign athlete into the NCAA - shouldn't the NCAA pretty want the best college athletes at their level - if so, what's with the age limit?
the way the rules are now the NAIA is the governing body who really gets hurt/affected by having no age limit...these small schools/programs now have to compete against better runners than there are in the NCAA...huh?
When did rono run a 1 49 4x8 leg? I call bullshit. The dudes awesome, don'tget me wrong, but i can't see him going sub 1 52.
He did it twice last year to me once at the conference meet and again at the NAIA nationals for APU's 5th straight 4x8 win

This is a joke. There's no comparison between the two efforts at all. What Rono did I'd say was equivalent of three solid workouts back-to-back-to-back, but nothing to elicit more than a yawn. There are 50 current Americans who could have done that triple by themselves, on a high school track, in training flats, with a hangover.
Tommy Fulton's quadruple, on the other hand, was Herculean.
I’ll convert Fulton’s times to metric.

Malmo- I totally respect 99.9% of what you say- but here, you are totally retarded.
The guy chewed gum during his runs, crossed the line, grabbed water, and shook hands with his competitors with six beads of sweat on his forehead. His effort was merely scratched. This guy is extremely talented. Do I think he is the best the NAIA has to offer, that simply makes for great discussion- but this guy certainly is one of them.
I agree that Fulton's quadruple is amazing. But, I too have seen Rono run the 4x800 when his team needed him too against VIC and OBU- he can fly with the best 800m runners, and his great run at Stanford or Mt. Sac (which ever one it was) in the 10K shows his range.
But, as for this comment: "There are 50 current Americans who could have done that triple by themselves, on a high school track, in training flats, with a hangover," you are completely wrong.

You're a funny guy. Quit your day job, you have real talent at comedy.
Aron Rono's triple is completely unremarkable. Period.
Rono is a stud! But the NAIA Sucks so bad this year. D3 was way faster.
See what happens when LC, Life, and VIC exit. It goes to crap.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
