Man, what were the odds of them jumping this high? Beasley or Rose?

Knicks only get to pick 6
there goes the quick fix I was hoping for.
I'm reading some stuff on the draft and the mention Beasleys "character issues". What are they? Serious?
Rose

Less than 2%. Rose. Good to see the Mike Dan Toni did not get the first pick.
I doubt they take Rose. They already have Ben Gordon and Kirk Hinrich. They may take Rose and deal Gordon.
From what I have seen Rose has done nothing to separate himself as they better player, Rose is getting a BJ for playing the national championship game. I'd say it is more impressive for Beasley's team to make it to the second round of the tournament than for Rose's stacked Memphis team to make it.
I think Beasley is a better player and will have a significantly better career.

The pick has to be Rose. I think any team outside of NO or Utah would be nuts to pass on him. He was the best all around player in a loaded NCAA tourney last season. Besides, Gordon and Hinrich aren't very good, and an elite PG is much more valuable than a SF/PF that can score.
Miami is in a very good position. Either they are gifted Rose, or they are in a position to make a lopsided trade to a team that really wants Marion (and his expiring contract) or Beasley.
Stephen Curry was the best player in the tourney this year.
Rose is also from Chicago...so don't forget that
1.7%
This year and next year will be good drafts. Next year Ricky Rubio, Demar Derozan and Brandon Jennings should be coming out. The league will have plently of great young guards
Here is an article detailing Beasley's character issues:http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/03/11/AR2007031101466.htmlBuyer beware. I foresee the Bulls taking Rose. He's much more mature, the better defensive player and he doesn't need 30 shots per game to be effective. He'll be a dominant player in the East as soon as he develops a more consistent jumper.

Easy pick. Rose.
The bulls have Hinrich and Gordon....
But they also have
Deng
Noah
Gooden
Thomas
Nocioni
They don't need another forward that can put up 20 and 10. Gordon's a shooter, that's all he does. Hinrich is good, but he's not near the talent level of Rose. You bring a point guard in for that team and maybe a true center and they'll be solid again.
Bulls need to select Rose, trade Hienrich plus one of thier forwards (Thomas or Noah) for a big man. Seattle has a glut on young talented big men.
Bulls are not as talented as everyone thinks. They have solid peices, but no definition.
D'Antoni may be wishing he went with the Bulls, however the expectations are much higher in Chi than NY. He can have at least two loosing seasons in NY without feeling major heat.
Rose is overrated in my opinion, NBA starting 5 talent but i don't see the Kidd, Wade, Payton superstar qualities.
He is not an excellent playmaker and he is definietly not an excellent scorer, he does everything quite well, brings size and good d but to prevail in the NBA as a superstar you need some skill that sets you apart from the rest.
Aside from that, what the Bulls need is someone who can score inside, Gooden/Noah/Thomas are nice rebounders but not scorers, Beasley can score in all kind of ways AND is a good rebounder.
They should draft Beasley and trade one or two of the bigs for a real Shooting Guard(Larry Hughes is a joke).

I agree that Rose is probably the favorite to be picked, but I don't think it's as cut and dry as you suggest.
The Bulls desperately need a 20/10 guy - although I think Beasley is a few years from that - as they don't get anything offensively from their frontcourt. Noah is a nice complementary player and a good defender but is in no way a scorer. Gooden is similarly limited offensively. Ty Thomas is an intriguing prospect and he's shown some flashes but he hasn't been consistent and I'd be wary of trusting the numbers put up on a bad team late in the season. If the Bulls had kept LaMarcus Aldridge perhaps Beasley would be redundant, but as it stands, Beasley would really help address some of the Bulls' most glaring weaknesses.
To be fair, though, drafting Rose would get the below-average Hinrich off the court and hopefully take some more minutes away from Gordon (if he's still on the team), who couldn't be more overrated.
Lester Hudson- in the 2nd round. Very underrated, will score in NBA. Great shooter
I don't care anymore.
When the NBA decided it was OK to screw the city of Seattle because Stern was a buddy of Clay Bennett, I got very turned off. I'm boycotting the NBA.
Oh, I'm not even a bitter sonics fan.

No way, the NY media will be all over him from day one. His cocky attitude will not go over well when they are losing.
Yes Way- In the east you could have a losing season and still make playoffs. That would keep the heat off for a while.
He's not realy cocky, not compared with Riley, Calipari, Brown etc. He's very easy going with press, passionate on sidelines.
They better not select the Italian Gallinari or Dandre Jordan. Gallinari is real slow, wont be able to get his shot off or defend anyone. Jordan is way overrrated.
Javale McGee much better prospect
