I just came down with a stuffy head and runny nose (head cold). I have a half marathon in 7 days next sunday that i have trained hard for i have ran around 90-100 miles for weeks and have done workouts such as 5 x 1mile in 4:56 avg, aswell as 10 mile tempos. I was wondering if anyone out there has had this same problem as i have that maybe could give me some advice.
I went running this morning planning to do a workout but felt literally like i was going to die on the first 2 mi repeat in 10:32, the goal was to run 3 at 10:05-10:15. I plan on taking tomorrow and monday completley off and seeing what i feel like on tuesday, I am now on medication so that may have been the reason i felt like Garbage this morning. My goal is to run sub 1:09 is that still POSSIBLE with what is happening right now just days away from from my race? Also what should i do from Tuesday to saturday running wise?
