Im a non American but love the whole US college running scene. While doing a bit of Letsrun browsing the other day a stumbled accross some info on GMU, something to do with Flanagans ex coach or something??
So I checked out GMU's website and found that they have a coach who used to be head coach at Stanford and a femalse assistant coach who coaches world class athletes like Sully.
Yet the team appear to be absolute whipping boys! 20 odd or something at xc regionals is dire.
I was wondering...
1.) Why would the head coach from a powerhouse like Stanford leave to be head coach at a place like this. And also whats the deal with Henner being there too, she must be a good coach right?
2.) Were they ever good? They must have had some draw for Gerrard and Henner. And are they likely to be good in the near future?
