How to fix the Stanford "problem"

For crissake guys, what a bunch of pussies. You make grand statements of "Fact" like: "why is Josh Moen in the meet? He has never run under 29 minutes", then you come back with "I stand corrected". This is why none of you have any credibility. The Stanford guy says they check all the entry times and you come back with: "Bullshit".

Well there is a lot of that floating around, for sure, but yours makes this entire post irrelevent.

It's not me who is trying to get a standard. If you really want it, go out and get it. I have a friend you went to Europe on his own dime having never broken 14 and he set some PRs over there.

If I really wanted it, I would do everything in my power to put myself in the right position to get it.

I forgot to mention Harry Jerome and the Victory meet (which are out of the qualifying window this year).

Sweet! how much did it cost him just to break 14??? because i assume he didn't just jump from 14+ to sub 13:20, and if not then he sure could have saved a lot of dough by just doing it in a race here in the states, there's plenty of 13:40+ races around, you don't need to go to europe to do that.also, i already mentioned the idioticness of jerome and vic and pointed out that usatf put them outside the window, but thanks for parroting that for us. anything else worthless you'd like to add to things? becuase so far you haven't offered ONE SINGLE SOLUTION.

If I'm not mistaken, the meet doesn't take place until Sunday and the original post was complaining about the possibility of these problems occuring and how to solve them...even though they don't exist because meet hasn't taken place yet...This is beyond typical letsun bitching. Something usually has to happen first.

And I'm not here to make your career for you. You were spouting off as if it was impossible to get into any European meet where you could get a standard. Off the top of my head I listed several sets of meets (each of those with at least three individual meets) in which you could. Hell, you could just stay in Belgium the whole month of July and race every weekend without ever leaving the country.

There are plenty of meets and they're not all in California. Just figure out how bad you want it and put yourself in the best position to perform.
