i like to wear my von dutch hat
now that's hot
Girls wear hats at the gym because they don't want guys to see where their eyes are looking. Kinda like wearing sunglasses, but you can't wear those indoors. We want to check out your bulging calf muscles and sweaty back. yum

I just see chicks on the treadmill with a hat and wonder why they do that.
Here's the truth, from a woman: We do it just to get you wondering about things. It keeps your minds occupied. We like guys who exercise their minds as well as their bodies. Mens sana in corpore sano.
yeah how is that dumbest post of the day?
my gym is already so hot, no way Id wear a hat in there
and I think unless you are running outside, or playing baseball, ok or maybe at a game, I think chicks in baseball hats look trashy. Guys too, when they wear them inside. Pet peeve of mine.
Yup, I just cut my hair nice and short so I can run outside in the summer without a hat or a ton of hair to trap heat. I love it! It's been years since I've set foot in a gym.....:-DVote for Pedro!

Well, when I came home from school my head started to get really hot. So I drank some cold water, but it didn't do nothing. So I laid in the bathtub for a while, but then I realized that it was my hair that was making my head hot. So I went into my kitchen and I shaved it all off.
girls wear hats at the gym because they don't shower before they work out and their hair looks nasty. duh.
I, personally, don't wear hats to the gym, but I KNOW why a lot of "chicks" do! It's because they probably look "kind of grunge" (no makeup, etc.) & don't want people to see them like that...it's kind of a disguise...hahaha...
I realize its a combination of everything the various chicks have stated, mostly psychology and appearance, but I will second the fact that the ponytail/hat thing is damn sexy on MOST girls. Gotta have nice silky straight hair for maximum effect. Keep the hats on and the tails bouncing.
I like bouncing tails, especially the smaller ones.
the reason that it was called dumbest post of the day was:
"there are tons of ways to keep the sweat out of your eyes without trapping heat on your head."
was a response to someone who doesn't like headbands.
name the "tons" of other ways?
a towell is a pain, he/she doesn't like headbands.

Now your response is the dumbest post of the day. And, although it's early, I'm confident it will remain the dumbest post of the day.
A towel is a pain? Hanging a small towell off a treadmill is a pain? Really?
We were talking about hats at the GYM, remember? So, please explain how hanging a small towel off a treadmill is a pain.

Were you in the military? I know some former military guys really hang onto the 'remove your hat indoors' tradition. I never had a problem with civillian hats being worn indoors. They are more for decoration than function.
