I'm curious as to who these Columbia women are. I've never heard of any of them except for their All-American Caitlin. Where did they come from and have they done anything else or is this just a case of some great races on that day?

I am admittedly biased because I ran for Columbia, but I think these women are the real deal. Check out the roster for the team by going through the school's website.
Trish Nolan - 10th at GA meet - is a Canadian who ran 4.32 for 1500m and 9.52 for 3000m in high school. She was the Canadian Junior 5000m Champ in 2001 and came in the top 30 at world Junior Cross in 2001. Last spring she ran 9.39 for 3000m and 16.45 for 5000m on the track as a freshman.
She particularly runs well in muddy conditions - World cross race and GA meet. She had dehydration problems (I'm told) at last year's NCAA cross.
Tenke Zoltani. She's going to be awesome and she's already running great for cu!!!
Man, that borders on stalker!
Yeah, CU is the real deal. A lot of youngsters on that team as well. When Caitlin either gets in shape or has a good day, they're going to be a force. Rock on CU. The men are underrated as well and are very young. The men (and women) have an outstanding mid distance crew as well, with 5 or 6 women under 2:13 and 5 or 6 men in the 1:50-1:52 range (all underclassmen).
