I recently found this great quote on running and feel it really captures the essence of the purest sport on earth.
"The only equipment that matters lies in your chest."
What do you guys think?

Wow! This quote really spoke to me. I love running because it is so simple and beautiful
What is so amazing about running is you don't need $400 golf clubs or a court to shoot baskets. Just give me a road or path to run on.
This person really understands running and puts it into such a poetic yet simple sentence.
Who was the genius that understands life so well?

Take out the running part and the quote would be:
"The only equipment that matters lies in your pants"
I'm having a difficult time gauging the level of sarcasm in some of these responses.
Don't be an idiot.
Like......wow dude....that's like.....far out and deep dude. Like dude that's like....uh......wow dude.
kind of weak
I find "Get off LetsRun or you're fired" to be particularly motivational.
this is the sort of thread that convinces me to log in at least once a day, maybe more...
How about this one:
"There is no such thing as bad weather, just soft people."
- Bowerman
or maybe
"Twice a day is always better than once a day"
- Malmo
or even
"Train as thou a coach, race as thou a warrior"
- I just made that up
You are born and you will die. In between, you run.
I just made that up, too
