McDaddy doubling. What are the chances he wins both?
I give him the edge in the 5, but I'm not too sure about the 3. The kid is tough, though, so you never know.

I know he's fast, but I doubt he can do it. In fact I say perry, bethke, or Curtis wins it. I'd say mcdougal takes 3rd or worse
with mcdougal i just want him to get through his final year, hopefully with improvements at the 1500,3k,5, and 10k, but what i really look forward to is his running the marathon, he is a sub 4 minute miler and 1320 for 5k runner, at a fairly young age, and he just runs once a day, but always at least 17 miles, i read he even ran 133 miles the week he won ncaa in cross country, he looks like a 206-207 marathoner in the making.
Is McNeil out? I know he is declared but is he actually going to run? If not the odd for Josh go up significantly
Can Williams recover from the "sickness" that we've been told? Why put him in 2 races, instead of just concentrating on one if he was that bad at conference.
mcneil was inured for his conference meet, he wont be a top 5 finisher. mcdougal wont be top 3. he will win the 5k, but he just wont hang on in the 3k. if he does make the top 3 it will be 3rd over bumbalough. perry and curtis will race each other for the win. curtis is the obvious #1 pick over perry but perry will fight for it.
To the post above. McDougal "only" ran 116 miles the week of NCAAs.

Good assessment, but note that Bethke has been running pretty well (right behind Curtis in 7:51), then doubled at Big Tens and blew everybody's doors off in the finish of the 3000. McDougall will be hard pressed to beat the 3000 crew if he has a hard race in the 5000 (but that race does not seem too deep from a very casual review).
Too bad the freshman Hassan Mead is not at NCAAs, he looked pretty good at Big Tens (he was the second-(or third) best distance runner at Big Tens, unless you count See's mile as distance).
bethke is very good. he should be a considered conteder.
about mcdougals 116 miles week of ncaa's. this isn't a 10k, and i think its not always beneficial to run tons of miles. if he runs 116 miles this week, AND wins both, ill be convinced.
