Not fast enough?? maybe..
You are allowed one change on the relay--AJ off Little Matt on w/ mcgrath and wheating?
Here's who I think it'll come down to:
1. Leonel Manzano
2. Garrett Heath
3. Andy McClary
4. Sam Bair
5. Jeff See
Prediction:
1) Manzano
2) McClary
3) Heath
4) Richardson
5) Acosta
6) See
7) Bair
8) McGrath
i'd definitely look out for micky cobrin from arkansas..he split 3:58 on their DMR last week
everyone of these guys could split 3:58
1. Manzano
2. Richardson
3. See
4. Heath
5. Acosta

since it takes 2+ seconds from the start to the 9 meter line, technically to all these guys split at least 3:58 for their last 1600 meters in their mile race
centrowitz made the time cut.. he'd be like 10th on that list. that is strange... he must be hurt.
I see Jake Watson coming through with a big race. He's much more experienced than last year, and he flat out races well. His mile at Alex Wilson was impressive in the way that he easily pulled away from a very good field. If it's a fight in the last 600m, expect Watson to surprise some people.

Since he ran 1:51+ from the gun on Saturday, I'm guessing he's going to run a leg on the DMR and forgo the open race.
I thought moses was a cat? cats can't type on the computer
acosta will get top 3
centro probably will run on the DMR
Manzano is the obvious favorite in the men's mile. His combination of durability and finishing speed will be hard for the other 15 competitors to overcome. After Manzano, I'd say it's wide open.
Bair has a lot of big race experience, and was an All-American indoors last year, finishing 7th. He will be in the mix if he gets to the front of the pack in his heat and stays there.
Acosta, Heath, McLaurenand See are talented, but don't have the big race experience of Manzano and Bair. Likewise for Rochardson and van der Wesheisen.
Watson is a darkhorse.

Heath was 7th last year in outdoors in a FAST and DEEP race (and finished quite well in indoors from what I can recall). See won Big 10 this season in a tactical, kickers race. I'd say they have big race experience.
that's true. maybe he'll lead off the relay.
what do people think of the coaching strategy of holding him out of the individual event in favor of the relay in his first ncaa meet? wouldn't the experience of the individual event be more valuable?
