I recently had some blood work done and my HCT/FP level, which I'm pretty sure is Hematocrit, was barely within the normal range. It was 41.8 and the normal range they gave me is 41.0-53.0. Now my doc just said it was normal but it's very close. What does it mean, especially for a runner, that it's that low? Shouldn't it be better for an athlete? I'm a 22 year old male by the way. Any expertise and experience is appreciated.
