D1 - 4:20 and under for the mile, 9:10 and under for 2 mile.
D2 or 3 - 4:40 / 4:30 , 10:00 and under depending on the program.
My only debate on rombus is that many D3 programs have "no cut" policies. I know for a fact that you could easily be on many D3 teams with 4:45/10:30 times. His D1 times, though, seem a little better....
There's 5:20/11:00 DIII guys.
9:10 is a little to fast of a standard....
I would bet that less than 100 high school seniors run under 9:10 each year, yet many times that amount get recruited by D1 schools. You have to remember, D1 isn't just Oregon, Stanford, Colorado, and Wisconsin. There are many D1 schools who would love a kid just under 9:30 or 9:40.
I ran 4:18 for 1500 last week and 9:17 for 3000 this week. (both indoors) What should I am to drop these times down to by the end of outdoor season? (currently I would like to run low 4:10's and sub 9:00)
Anyone can run for the University of Northern Colorado. While classified as a D1 school, they struggle against any and all D2 schools in Colorado in distance events from the mile up. Just to throw that out there
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
