No big surprises, except Wisconsin fell to 10th. But I gurantee that they won't finish that low.

I've been saying it since last cross season... Columbia men are being overlooked. How does Princeton receieve votes when CU just beat them? The woman fiunally get some recognition (and next year will have the same team that they have this year with all Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors). The men's teal is also the real deal and fairly young with 2 seniors, a junior, 2 sophomores, and all freshman filling the rest of the spots.

Iona is surely better than Providence who did not beat the Wisconsin B team by any significant margin. As ever the Griak is overated relative to the other meets.I think that both Iona and Dartmouth could beat Providence.
Interesting,
Is ASU under Drenth about to overtake and put W&M in his rear view mirror.
Nice to see CMU get some recognition at #19, and props to EMU for a great Griak race. CMU did perform sub-par at the Griak, but still well enough to garner some attention.
Also, the GL regional looks like it will be a dog race. 7 of the top 25 are from the GL, and it is hands down the region that currently deserves the most at-large spots. Don't forget that teams like MSU and Miami are very tough, even if they aren't in the rankings.
If they take 6 from the GL that leaves out some very good teams. I predict the following finish for the GL district:
Wiso
EMU
Butler
CMU
ND
IN
------------ The above will make NCAAs
MI
MSU
Miami
OSU

You'll have a better idea of what the Irish are really like after this weekend, and after PreNats obviously.
Michigan State is overrated.

I would have to say that Great Lakes is not hands down the toughest region. It is really tough, but Mountain is tougher in my opinion. They currently have 5 teams in the top 13. And 8 teams getting at least votes. And I believe both New Mexico and Utah St. are underrated. Actually so is Montana St. Also Mountain has 3 teams in the top ten, more than any other region. This means a top ten team will not get an automatic for NCAAs. That my friends is a tough region. Great Lakes is by far the second toughest though. I could see both regions putting 6 to 7 teams in nationals.
