And who's running for CU??
And who's running for CU??
Is Adams running or not?? What about Western?? Who is running for CU ??
It should be interesting ... I was out on the course on Wed. evening ... good ol' Colorado clay was at it's best. Within ~3 min both shoes weighed about 5lbs each. I'm doubting that the course will dry out much between now and then. The course isn't really that muddy ... but the clay clings to your shoes until they weigh about 5-6lbs each ... then 2 or 3 lbs will fall off of one shoe, while the other still weighs 5 lbs. ... think I'll sit this one out.
Western State will be there.

Western's top 10 have run only one race,CSU.Wetmore makes it sound like Western is peaked out right now instead of Nats.
The course is actually in great shape. I jogged it today. It is a bit soft in places, but no where did the mud stick to my shoes.
There is one spot near the start where there is a fair size puddle, but very avoidable in that big field start.
After having run out there where it has been so bone dry - and hence the ground incredibly hard, I find the softness a welcome. Its almost a grassy soft in some places.
The softest places are near Jawbone hill. That could be an issue by the later races - depending on how much the hill gets ripped up in the early ones - but I think it should be ine. On the curve below that, it is actually a bit softer - but again, the mud is really just a bit of dirt that is a touch wet.
The course, in my opinion looks the best it has in a long time. The tall grass near the mile mark has been well mowed. Weather should be cool for the morning, but good.
See you there.
