Letsrun,
I've always had pretty tight calves/ lower legs that I've needed to stretch a lot and ice. Recently I've been noticing that it gets worse, much worse, when I go up any sort of hill, especially when I get on my toes.
Now, I've always thought it was my soleus, since it never hurt too close to the heel, or sharply enough, for me to think it was achilles tendonitis, or at least I think so.
I would almost call it more of a shin splint kind of pain; enough to make me wince, but not enough to really stop running in my tracks.
Do you think it's the soleus, or something else? If it is my soleus, any advice on how to strengthen that out? Could it be that I need a new pair of shoes? (I run in Mizuno Inspire 3's).
Thanks guys. Looking for any help you can offer.
