I don't know how to word this exactly. But here is the basic question I have.
How long before a run/workout/race should I eat and how much should I eat? (calories-wise, or an example of what you personally eat)
Because I have a problem on my long runs (I do them in the afternoons) where I am about halfway through my 2-hour run when I have to go #2 really badly. The same problem has even occurred in workouts and races before and it's really frustrating. The only times I don't have problem is if I wait for 5-6 hours after I eat to go out and run, but then I am sort of hungry when I head out the door.
So, what is your personal routine in terms of eating and then running. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
