I am an 85-95 miles per week runner. I want to know the importance of reaching this kind of mileage in singles and not in double day workouts.
Any comments or thoughts would be awesome.

It's hard to be sure, since almost nobody has enjoyed notable success running doubles. Is that because doubles are inherently bad training or just because nobody's tried?
