Take it from me and many others on these boards, orthotics will mess up your running. Seriously dont get them, worst decision I ever made and that any runner can make. Short term they might fix your problems, but long term they will create more problems. Don't waste money on them.
If you have lower leg injury problems, switch to shoes that are light and that have a low heel to forefoot ratio. Racing flats are your best bet. Try to find a shoe with out much "support." If your used to running in heavily cushioned shoes, break into shoes without much cushion gradually, as in, alternate days you use them at first. Try switching to a shoe like the nike zoom jasari+. It shouldn't take more and 3 weeks to go from a heavily cushioned shoe to fully training in a shoe like the jasari+.
