I need some advice. About 6 weeks ago I started to develop mild pain on teh top of my right foot (laces too tight feeling). I was able to train through the mild pain until 8 days ago when during a 12 mile run the pain started to get severe or painful enough that I bailed during the last mile. I just took 8 days off (7 weeks until marathon)and the pain is still awful. I haven't cross trained just rest Advil Ice and I have had no progress. Although I am confident it is tendonitis in the tendon attaching to my big toe I have swelling across teh top of my foot to? Anyway does this injury take a long time to heal and should I pass on the marathon in feb and just rest. The foot aches/hurts even sitting here.
