Russians outwit Al Gore.
Wow, this is just loaded with some gems! Here is one of my favorites:
Russian who plays a scientist on TV wrote:
When tropospheric air is warm enough for complete absorption, radiation energy passes into gas fluctuations. Gas expands and dissolves to send warm air up to the stratosphere, where it clashes with cold currents coming down.
Of course this guy is right. Haven't you ever seen "The Day After Tomorrow"?
It is now "climate change" just to cover all the bases.
If Al Gore is speaking somewhere it is fun to see if it is colder than usual or not for that place when he is speaking.
I can't believe they are banning the lighbulb. I am not against CFLs (compact fluorescent lights) in the right application, but don't want their annoying wavelength/ crappy light in the main rooms of my house. Glad the elite can live in McMansions and justify flying everywhere by buying carbon credits while I'm supposed to put some mercury filled nanny-state bulb in my living room. Yes I am going to hoard lightbulbs.
By the way, Californians, coming soon to your cars are low rolling resistance tires. Who cares if they aren't as safe and some people die! This will help cars put out slightly less of that terrible pollutant CO2.
CO2 has been known to be absorbed by plants, so it is probably in most of the food you eat. Unlike other "real" pollutants, it has not been shown to cause cancer. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't be afraid of it, though. The earth's oceans could rise by as much as 7 centimeters becaus eof it!!!
Someday in the middle ages mankind might be able to develop the technology to build some kind of earthen berm to keep water out of their citiess, but until that time arises I think we should all buy some carbon credits to make sure that that doesn't happen.
Everybody knows that global warming causes greater fluctuations of temperatures which produce colder weather where there is no warmer weather and warmer weather where global warming is occurring. When the paradigm shift occurs of greater colder weather where there is no warmer weather and global cooling causes a stabilization of temperatures around the globe, the globe will be in a state of transition leading to both cooler and warmer weather everywhere further confusing the trending that is needed for accurate projections of the state of the future temperatures.

How about this story?:
Expedition Highlighting Global Warming Called Off Due To Extreme Cold
http://www.woai.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=a847c522-d2f9-4927-a71d-6629dae19071"A North Pole expedition meant to bring attention to global warming was called off after one of the explorers got frostbite."
Talk about an own goal!
Yeah, wow, it's cold in the Arctic in March.
Who woulda thunk it?
We can slow global warming if people could do a few things right, but we can't even do that:
1. Turn off the lights when you are not using them;
2. Recycle;
3. Drive less.
Don't need no Harvard PHd to tell me that. Dats da fact jack!
Wow, thanks for that link. Gore sure was outwitted. That just proves there is no effect of the millions of tons of gases spewed into the atmosphere on the earths' temperature and weather. Since all these pollutants have no effect, we shouldn't even consider them pollutants! Damn Sun!

"Climate change" was a term created by a Republican spin doctor so that Republicans could talk about changes in climate without being linked to liberal global warming talk. It wasn't to cover all bases though it does do that. When you talk of "climate change" it infers that the temperature could either be going up or down. "Global warming" is more accurate today.
The spin doctor is the same guy who changed the term "Estate Tax" to "Death Tax". Dude gets results.
But, when talking about the world today, you really should say "Global WARMING", because it is, and that point is undeniable. Argue if you want as to the cause, but it is warming.

Sure, it's cold at the pole, but it's still an ironic result to the whole operation. The explorers, who had been there before, obviously didn't anticipate just how cold it would be this time around.
If they wanted to present a better case, they might have at least waited until a warmer season to make the trip, but instead they went straight into CYA mode and fell back on the old song and dance that global warming sometimes manifests itself in extreme cold (this could be true for all anybody really knows, but saying so in those words isn't the best way to convince people of their expertise on the matter).
Then again, cooking up a cover story to conveniently explain away every inexpedient situation has long been a fundamental tenet of agenda-driven pseudoscience on both sides of any issue.
No, a$$. It's called Climate Change because it is just that- A changing climate. It's been much colder before, and it's been much hotter before. The bad thing about adding the exact trend (warming/cooling) to the name is that it must then be changed when the trend has shifted.
For example- Back in the 70's, when these same brilliant scientists were predicting another ICE AGE from the cooling trend (which occurred after the warmth of the 1930s), we could have called it "Climate Change".
Climate Change
Yep. Been warmer, been colder. Looong before any automobiles existed.

Sacrilege! How dare you?!
Fact: Al Gore only took two science classes in college, receiving low grades in both.
