ok it is apparent that uga and usc should have played for the real national title. okla is choking, lsu and osu backed into a title shot....can we petition for lsu and osu to watch uga and usc play in their game??????

uga vs. usc is a retarded argument for a national title game.
1) uga wasn't even it's conference champion. the national championship should go to the best team that season, not the best team at the moment.
2) uga played hawaii. hawaii was a terrible team. they took advantage of an easy schedule to earn their way into the bcs.
3) usc played illinois. it's not like illinois was playing an amazing opponent, they were playing the second place team out of the pac 10.
4) wvu wouldnt have lost against pitt if white didnt get injured. the game was completely different once he left.
5)usc lost to stanford. you cannot deny that.
it really isn't apparent that uga and usc shouldve played in the national title game.
I would LOVE to see Georgia whop USC's ass!
As a UGA grad/fan, I would be really worried about facing USC. One of the Dawgs biggest weaknesses all year was physical running teams that pounded it up the middle, due to the smallish size of the d-line and linebackers (this was actually a big plus against Hawaii b/c such runs were not a worry and the speed of the smaller guys up front helped with coverage and getting around their o-line). I am legitimately intimidated by USC's ground attack - their o-line look like beast-men/earth-movers and that stable of running backs is unparalleled.
While I think UGA will have a very good chance to win a NC next year, and that should be their goal, I just don't think THIS year's team would be able to stop a 100% healthy USC team with a month to plan for them.
Having said all that, I would have loved to see them have a shot but it is hard to argue for it when they did not get the job done earlier in the year against their own division.
